The Comprehensive Trade Connectivity Event between the Netherlands and Vietnam, organized by The Dutch Business Association Vietnam on March 11, 2023, achieved many unexpected successful results.
Founded in 1999, the Dutch Business Association Vietnam has become a strong business platform with over one hundred member companies in both Vietnam and the Netherlands. The association’s goal is to promote bilateral trade by building connections between its members and those engaged in the Netherlands or Vietnamese markets.
The association also plays a key role in supporting businesses to establish a smooth presence in both Vietnam and the Netherlands by working closely with service companies and the public sector. Each year, the association organizes various notable events such as trade delegations, golf tournaments, and workshops.
In this business trip, TD Vietnam – a strategic partner of the Dutch Business Association Vietnam (DBAV) – played an active role in promoting B2B connections. Thirteen Dutch companies specializing in high-tech semiconductor manufacturing, low-volume high-mix production, and digitalization participated with the aim of connecting with potential suppliers and customers in Vietnam.
A total of 65 quick exchange meetings took place during this comprehensive B2B trade connectivity event. These connections were carefully curated by DBAV to ensure relevance and collaboration potential.
The Netherlands is proud to have a strong technology ecosystem with the presence of many world-leading companies in semiconductor manufacturing. These companies focus on developing advanced manufacturing processes to create high-performance products that are energy-efficient and highly reliable. Notable Dutch companies in high-tech semiconductor production, such as ASML, NXP Semiconductors, and others, have made significant contributions to the global supply chain.
As a developing nation, Vietnam is expected to become a key hub in the global supply chain for many international corporations, including those from the Netherlands. Particularly, Vietnam possesses great potential for developing the semiconductor industry, thanks to its rich natural resources, a well-trained and highly skilled workforce, and a strong spirit of innovation.
With the close cooperation between Vietnam and Netherlands businesses, Vietnam’s semiconductor industry is poised for significant growth, contributing to the prosperity and sustainable development of the global economy.
